A great opportunity to discover the rich heritage of Ireland’s Capital City and its delightful picturesque countryside. We have the opportunity to sample great food, world-renowned brands, and mingle with a vibrant city nightlife both traditional and modern. A great short break escape for those arriving to Ireland from far away.

 

Day One: Upon arrival you are transferred, to your hotel. Early afternoon, we head in to Dublin for a tour of the city’s landmarks as we make our to the world renown Guinness Storehouse Museum. Afterwards you have a choice of enjoying the the city’s restaurants and bars, or returning to your hotel.

Day Two: We take the first of our excursions into the surrounding Dublin countryside stopping by picturesque Enniskerry the ‘gateway’ to the garden of Ireland, before visiting resplendent Powerscourt House with its renaissance grandeur and secret gardens. We continue through the Wicklow Mountains National Park, a countryside rich in history and beauty passing through Glencree, Lough Tay, Sally Gap to Glendalough where we can explore the iconic 1,000 year old Monastic Tower before retracing our steps to Dublin. This evening is free to discover the energetic Temple Bar District, or enjoy the amenities of your hotel.

Day Three: After breakfast we head into the city to explore Kilmainham Gaol which was built in 1796 during the reign of Edward VII, Queen Victoria’s Father, and housed some of the most famous political and military leaders in Irish history. Afterwards we head to the old Jameson Distillery for a tasting and a guided tour of the museum dedicated to this iconic brand. This afternoon we head out of the city northwards to the 12th Century Malahide Castle & Gardens, one of the oldest in Ireland. Here we take a guided tour glimpsing 800 years of Irish history before returning once more to Dublin City where you have the evening free.

Day Four: Today we travel to County Kildare and the home of Ireland’s equine passion the National Stud. Not only do we explore the world of championship horse racing but we also get the opportunity walk through the uniquely spiritual Japanese gardens and the newly created St Fiachra's Garden. After lunch we take time to visit the Newbridge Silver Visitors Centre which houses the ‘Museum of Hollywood Style Icons’ amongst a wealth of silver craft. We return to Dublin, with free time to explore the city centre for some last minute souvenir shopping.

Day Five: After breakfast, we say farewell to Dublin, and transfer you to your departure flight.
